Plain language version. What we collect, why, and what we do not do with it.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site. That means your name, phone number, email address, the town or street address of the property, the type of work you are asking about, your timeline, an optional budget range, and whatever you write in the notes box.
The online estimator does not collect anything. Your answers stay in your own browser and are only sent to us if you choose to turn the result into a quote request.
If a form submission fails to reach us, a copy is saved temporarily in your own browser's local storage so the details are not lost. That copy stays on your device and is removed once the request goes through.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, to route it to the correct member company, to prepare a quote, and to keep a record of work done at your property so that the next person who attends knows the history. That is the whole list.
Who sees it
Your enquiry goes to admin@firstsonssolutions.com, and from there to whichever member company handles the work. Where a job requires a licensed trade we do not employ directly, for example electrical or gas work, we share only what that contractor needs in order to quote and complete the job.
We do not sell your information. We do not trade it, rent it, or hand it to a lead generation service.
Marketing email
We only send seasonal maintenance reminders if you tick the optional box asking for them. That is a maximum of four emails a year, every one of them has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Ticking that box is never required to get a quote.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not turn into work are kept for two years, because homeowners often come back. Records relating to completed work are kept for seven years, which is what our tax and warranty obligations require. You can ask us to delete anything that is not covered by those obligations.
Cookies and tracking
Decide this before launch and then make this paragraph true. As built, this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. If you add Google Analytics, the Meta pixel, or Google Ads conversion tracking, this section has to be rewritten and you will likely need a consent banner. The recommendation in the business plan is to start with a privacy-friendly analytics option and add ad pixels only when you are actually spending on ads.
